Calling someone a pedophile or a "danger to children" with no evidence and maliciously in a public forum is basically libel - and her occupation as a teacher in a position of trust with children makes her much more vulnerable to this sort of libel and as he said it as well in public, slander. Whether UK libel / slander laws are too tightly drawn as it is the location of choice to bring these sorts of cases is a different matter but under the law he was libelous and should be fined.
