Money well spent.

It takes many years to build a plant here and to get local supplier supply chain. So to build a 100% American product it will take 8-10 years. So be ready for pain that long.

The enlistment is what ran out on that.

This really is a it depends question for my grandfather, having a home is the only reason he was able to make trips across the country in a motorhome in retirement. He lived off of Social Security and he got one of those rich high, paying pensions of a $500 a month fixed. All he had to pay was $580 a year property tax. Something he said was extremely expensive back in 2005. His home was easy to maintain, but because cost were so low he could also afford paying people to do jobs. Most home maintenance does not sneak up on you major repairs or something you can actually see coming.

@vanji611 yes they are doing a great job. Happy to vote for her again.

@petertrujillano1416 they feel jealous that some others are getting a small amount forgiven. They don’t complain about the millions of boomers that had them wiped out in bankruptcy.

Simple don't get a divorce. Learn how to live together.

If he abolishes the IRS income tax will be replaced with a much higher tax that everyone will be paying right now. We paid 5% income tax on $197,000. That is right in line with the average income tax that is paying for that income. People don’t understand 90% of Americans pay less than 15% income taxes.
5
@ their enlistment ended. That is why the new Troops were kept and sent to where they were needed.
4
@280zone yes you could before Bush Jr changed that. My parents wiped out 100K of their own student loans. From 4 bankruptcies.
4
I am saving 30% of my take-home pay. 10% in my Roth IRA and the rest in a 401K. I go by individuals over our combined income because my wife right now gets a military pension and gets disability and she will get another pension with SS. I am at 2.1 times my income at 43 hitting the big milestone of reaching $100K invested. I am very much worried I am too far behind to catch up.

People don't like facts they like feelings.
2
do you want to know why we don’t have foreign-made pick up trucks imported into America and any large numbers? It’s because there was a 25% tariff put on passenger Trucks so Toyota and some other build them here. Now there is one on all vehicles. They will simply have to increase the price or not sell them at all that is how things work.
2
You can always outspend your income. When I started my first career my co-worker was making $240K a year and he lived paycheck to paycheck. He lost everything in 2008 when his income dropped $30,000. Now my household income is up from $30,000 I am very careful to end up like him. We are going to upgrade our home from a $150K home to a $400K home but our income is $187K and no other debt.

out of the two people I would say, Dave Ramsey has better advice overall. Robert Kisaki is anti-401(k). They love to talk about the high fees of 401(k)s, but don’t talk about the extremely high fees of real estate. Real estate, if you’re not financially ready, can bankrupt you and financially destroy you for many years a 401(k) has never bankrupt anyone. Robert Kisaki made his money selling real estate courses and then bought real estate .

Every Generation has had such recessions.
2
That remains to be seen so far it has not gotten better service and the cuts of fraud are nonexistent
2
The biggest thing is to get as fast as as you can to 100-200K as fast as you can and then compounding takes over. Start early and you don’t need to be as hard of a push.
2
Bought a home for $389K with a 30 year fixed at 4.65% rate. Two months ago.
2
Income taxes are very low as it is on $150K we pay 6% federal taxes and 1.5% state income taxes this is normal rate for this income nothing massively special.
2
I guess as you just save a copper jacket for the old pan because it’s scientifically impossible to retire.

I hate these stupid advertisement scams.
1
I love telling conservative Republicans that on $150,000 we pay 6% income taxes. They always freak out saying that I’m a liar and that I have to be paying 22% income tax. Republicans constantly tell me that the average American pays more than 20% income tax And that doesn’t even include the 48,000 that is 100% tax free.
1
@markymark9197 most of that spending is not on employees it is on welfare programs like SS and Medicare and medicade
1
Those are parent loans for children going to school
1
@Bob-xt2on it is from kids and grandkids they are co-signers.
1
@goofygirl1311 that is the issue kids droop out of collage agree two years and have all that debt and are struggling to pay it off that is where the true crisis is
1
@ they are saying a 1% total of all fees is taking $300K for every million you earn so you actually earn $700K and you are taxed at 40%. On top of that.
1
@ it is just a fake gimmick to get you to pay $60,000 for fake real estate courses
1
@ correct. Robert is just a scam artist.
1
I agree with you. There are many people that pedal real estate has been the best thing and then it has no fees or costs. When in reality real estate has far higher fees and costs than any 401(k) and that eats into actual profit.
1
@Anderson they also fired all the immigrants and deported them after promising citizenship
1
You don't know anything do you? Unemployment is 14-26 weeks depending on the state and because they are fired for poor performance they can't claim unemployment in many states.
1
Ours crashed over 150 points not worried about it it crashed because we sold a house and bought a new one. It will be another 8 years before it is back up to 800’s not worried about it.
1
I put my money into the S&P 500 index for the last 10 years. And all of my money that I put into it with dollar cost averaging has grown by 204%. Last year it grew 28%.
1
Yes and we were a third world nation then.
1
You are wrong we have had 10 million every year illegal for the last 50 years. Proven by you the population of America is 700 million.
1
Why would cancer researchers need to learn to code?
1
Then terminate welfare, Social Security, Medicaid, Medicare, all research in diseases, cancer sciences, and terminated the military
1
@ it is all 100% legal. Turbo tax, H&R Block. And a actual tax preparer all cam up with the same number. Since I have been married I have never paid more than 7% income taxes.
1
@g.t.richardson6311 it is ok if you don't understand taxes most Americans don't.
1
@ We have a $47,000 income that is 100% tax-free. We pay $10,000 federal income taxes on $150K income we have 10% charity with two kids and a mortgage on a $360K property.
1
@richardconnors2404 they only make the choice of where a product is manufactured with their brand. Do manufacturing in America say they are picking a small town to build a plant to keep labor costs low by hiring desperate people that they can underpay and have employees help them get on welfare so they can pay them less….
1
Well, Visa and MasterCard are starting to fund financial education courses to be taught in all schools. Capitalism is the best way to educate people.
1
@ with what?
1
@mbmatt100 So of that $150,000 about 44,000 is not taxed and is written off. (Mortgage deductions and charitable giving) The next 23,000 is taxed at 10% which is $2,300 The next amount is taxed at 12% that is $8500 the next amount is taxed at 22% which is $2,400. That is a total tax of $13,200 now we have two kids and that is a tax credit of $4,000 putting total taxes at $9,200 This is not our exact tax numbers but not far from it.
1
@mbmatt100 saying we pay 0% would be a lie. What we pay is the average effective income tax rate for that income. I didn’t even talk about the $48,000 that is not taxed at all just our income that is reported for taxing. By your logic experts saying 47% of households pay no income taxes is a lie because they have children and other deductions.
1
@mbmatt100 so you are saying the claim of 47% paying 0 income taxes is a lie. You are saying most American families have no kids and have no mortgage. You are also saying Trump paying $250 income taxes is misleading because he has deductions he actually pays 40%. Sounds like you want to be misleading.
1
@ what about I pay the average for this income is misleading?
1
@ that is more than what most pay in Federal income taxes.
