  26. @ you are correct. It doesn’t hurt in many ways. My wife had 22 years and now has great retirement and healthcare that anyone else would have to pay over $1500 a month to have. Now if she wants to do her job as a contractor she would be paid $150K a year. She chose to be more stable and get it directly with the government for half that pay. But has a lot less risk of termination.

  38. @ crime is down. Roads are good in most of the nation I drive them all the time. No people don’t have a clue how much they actually pay in taxes. I know on $187,000 I pay 4% income taxes and that is 2% below average.
