  1. My plan is to keep investing in my retirement account into stocks. Owning my house is the next step in you have a paid-off mortgage you can't find a place cheaper to live. I will enjoy it.

  3. I bought a new construction in 2014 just before the “2014 crash” it was our first home for $151K it is my plan for retirement investment as there is no cheaper place to live than a paid off home.

  13. Here is the issue. Is it that way comparing same size rent and home your buy? Comparing a 900sqft 3 bedroom is not the same as a 1500sqft 3 bedroom home. When I bought with a 0% down home in 2014 (when everyone was calling for a second crash as home sales fell.) then my rent was $200 over the price of a new home. Now it is $900 and that includes taxes and insurance. 1% a year is very much normal for repairs.

  15. Worked 15 years for Audi and VW. What killed it for me was flat rate, and the politics in handing out work. Now I have been working in HVAC and haven’t been happier.

  16. Can't pay your bills? make more money. We call this person accountability. Don't have enough for retirement you should have saved more. Sadly Americans know more about their baseball team or about the Kardashians than about their money.
