  1. Similar story was with the A1Skyraider since it was conceived in a hotel on a napkin. The Mosquito was also designed in a tavern. On the other hand the Soviet version of the B29 was designed in a Soviet work/prison camp.

  3. Another great very interesting video and unknown aircraft I never heard about before Mr.Ed as always. Well the Mosquito had only 4 x 20mm guns Mamma Mia qq lele. Imho the USA had the best approach to this kind of the aircraft during the WWII by converting their medium bombers into strafers and heavy fighters. Not the other way around.

  4. I have never heard of this plane. An excellent video. Who knows how it would deal with jet powered planes. B29s had that experience. Too bad it was not made a standard bomber due to a war time rush.

  6. A beautiful plane almost like a miniature Concorde. Somehow all early Cold War Era planes have a sinister stinky mean appearance of death as if every plane was to carry a nuclear bomb being it a Piper Cub or a Nimrod. I wonder what remade Swordfish would have looked like.

  8. There was the Soviet similar looking plane of the similar size of the same era. The French and Soviets were building buildings with wings,while in the USA were making sleek designs.

  21. Just reactivate the old Mitchell B25s.This one is SBD. Is it more endurable does it have a greater carrying capacity than the Super Tucano?It does not seem to have any machineguns/cannons. The Super Tucano is a racing motorcycle compared to this Air Tractor. Slow/silent but deadly.

Really what a pitty it was not accepted into the service.But not even one 20-30mm gun for the Gunslinger just in case? Was not the failure of aircraft launched AA guided missiles quite common during the Vietnam War? Of course the designers of the F8U-3 did not possess the hindsight. Happy hollidays have a good one.

  34. I find some superficial similarity of the Falke and the Argentinian Puccara. Was Kurt Tank designer of both of these planes? It only had 2x20mm guns. That sounds too weak for a heavy fighter or ground attack aircraft. It was not a match for the Mosquito or 8x.50BMG aircraft of the WW2.

As always a great amazing very interesting video about an aircraft I knew nothing about Mr.Ed.Not that I do not like the videos about the canvas and wicket two storey biplanes but something with a bit of electric circuitry is welcome indeed. Can you make some videos about the C130 A400M or the soviet four engined turbo prop transport planes? Have a good one and I find the fact that the F14 had the nose camera capable of identifying targets 40kilometers away mind blowing.

  41.  @lairdcummings9092  Thank you. Do you mean that the Soviet Tu4 was on par with the B29 in the overall quality? The B29 had its teething problems in the US(the engine overheating etc.)
