I’d tell the customer we don’t rush for you we work at our own pace too make sure it’s done right don’t like it there’s a quick lube down the street theirs the door

Why take it in and then not get the repairs. Oh I know why he wants it done for cheap. I hope he comes back begging you too fix his truck that we all know going to come back worse and going to cost more money
43
Thank you appreciate you listening to your audience it was little distracting
39
Don’t say that now he’s going to run back out lol
34
I’ve seen this type of behaviour before. I need to do something so I don’t think about what I saw. Maybe hug your wife I think you need it.
28
Yea agree I wanted to hear the engine noise but the music was annoying
26
The Ford Ranger that just keeps on giving
24
When I replace a part on my car I keep the old parts I put them in the box the new parts came in. It’s so I can remember what has been replaced since I do my own work there’s no paper trail only my memory lol.
20
Shop I go too I just Waite for my phone call too come back I schedule on days I’m free so it’s not big deal and I’d prefer that the shop takes their time.
16
Love how you dealt with all the backseat mechanics always saying you do things wrong. I had a good laugh with this one.
15
Guy seems like he can’t drive either going off those rims he destroyed
15
Freak things happen best you can do is stay firm explain you did the work you were hired to do and anything else is just a freak thing. Example I helped my neighbours friend fix their car I don’t even know this guy but his a good neighbour too my friend so I said I’ll look at it and just turned out too be s bad alternator was not charging battery enough at idle and I explained when engine spins slow the alternator can not produce enough electricity to charge the battery. I also asked if anything else electrical in the car was acting up and he said when he comes to a stop radio cuts out car sounds like it’s about to die. I said yea it’s a weak alternator so we went to the local automotive store they had one in stock guy paid for it I installed it it was easy alternator sat at the top of the engine three bolts two wire connections later back in business. About week later my friend says he’s neighbour is so mad that you broke his car I said what no I didn’t. My friend said he tells me his battery is now not holding any charge I said well i saw battery is 5 years old it happens with age but when I did the work battery was charging at 15 volts and held 12.5 I don’t know but it looked good when I tested it. So I go over explain to the guy you are here with me you saw everything worked after the alternator was changed I told him just go buy a new battery and it’ll be fine again.

First thing you do is pull the dipstick I wanna see clean oil and then check the coolant I wanna see clean coolant and no gas or oil mixed in. Then I start and listen to the engine turn off radio and tell the seller to shut up. All this can be done before test drive
15
More vehicles with too bright of lights too make me crash on my way home at night. Thank you
14
Well maintenance can mean anything but getting those things done yes keeps a car happy. If people just open their wallet a bit you could keep a car running for years many years. My cars 17 years old runs like it did out of the factory and it’s not a Honda or Toyota that stereotype is annoying to me cause those cars fail without maintenance too.
12
Like just look at all the shit in the way of the master cylinder I’m sure it could have been designed better
12
My car takes the R134A just so you know no Freon is non hazardous if enough escapes into the atmosphere it can cause harm. It’s a gimmick then saying it’s non hazardous so they can sell it seeing its way more money.
12
The cause of death I’m afraid to say is a broken connecting rod on cylinder 3. The loss of oil was too much to save the engine. I’m sorry for your loss.
10
Seatbelts are strong man I’ve used them when I helped remove my friends engine from his Civic we tied the belts around the engine lift points and lifted out of the engine bay. The fact this driver went through his seatbelt is amazing

Dave’s a good worker
7
There’s your problem lady
7
Probably same person that screwed the lug but up
7
@kidd1072 I just leave go to another store like Walmart look around maybe get some McDonald’s just chill like it’s not that long people just want it done now no patience anymore
7
Too be honest he probably dose not have too open too the public he could do you tube videos out of that shop like Erick The Car Guy and make money from you tube and if he wants can help a small group of people. I think that be the best way too go then he can relax and have fun why’ll still making money from his videos.
7
My dad use to say do you wanna drive then he pull over get out and just stand on the side of the road having a cigarette and took more time up. It worked cause I was a kid had no idea how a car worked and now we were stopped not doing anything
7
Congrats on the award
7
@bcw686 they are in winter right now 2 degrees C in Canada is like a summer holiday in winter lol.
6
Customer probably knew what he did wrong just didn’t wanna admit it and when Ray figured it out the customer got his back up about it. Just admit you overfilled the gas tank like we all do stupid things from time to time just admit it.
6
Was trying install a new engine mount and my flashlight fell off the hood of the car and I caught myself saying flashlight gravity lol.
6
Really that’s a cool tip
6
Well it’s simple just say no to customer parts don’t get mad after you accept the job
6
Obviously it’s fine because nothing happened when Ray started the van so it’s fine. Everyone’s gotta chill you all act like Ray is careless or something that’s how he found it so it’s not a big deal
6
Had a car the ac side worked fine but I wasn’t getting much airflow out the vents with the fan speed on high. The heat worked great lots of air flow. So I took the clove box out and to my amazement there was no cabin air filter. Apparently from factory the car never had one. Took the car to the gas station and used the compressed air to blow out the fan. Stupid idea I got dust all in my face but I also blew out the dash vents and the air inlet by the wiper blades. Retried the ac and it worked really good after that.
6
Yes I dropped a fastener once was like dam i could see it grabbed me magnetic extender and I was able to grab it
6
I know customers can be so annoying at times they expect you too just fix it but you gotta help the mechanic out give them some details so they know where to start. I use to be an assistant at the service desk and I herd all kinds of things one guy brought his car in told the guy it brakes funny. We responded like how and the guy said it didn’t feel right and again we said dose it shake dose it pull dose it feel soft. Guy said just didn’t feel the same ugh like give us some details like I swear people drive cars and have no clue
6
It’s too stop anyone but the dealership to fix the car it’s so shady the owner should have the right to take their car to any shop they desire. This is why I’m still driving my 18 year old car.
6
Plus I used the same brake shoes Ray used on that truck and I’ve been happy with them. I’d recommend that brand.
6
The workers at the shop I go to love me cause I understand vehicles need maintenance and that’s these guys jobs like 90% of the time they do maintenance work. The things I can do at home I do myself and they know this but any professional work I take the car to them they are always surprised the cars 17 years old and in pretty good shape. Guy once told me that my engine and trans where healthy almost like brand new the tech said. He said he sees cars at 17 years of age just barely working
5
The Eric O brake clean moment was spot on
5
☕️
5
This whole video I can relate they don’t make it easy to change belts anymore these engineers I swear to god they can’t design anything to be serviced anymore
5
@REDBIRD-95 Ray leaves the shop and says I’ll be back and he always is
5
When it’s really hot outside the nights ain’t much better it’s usually more humid at night. The air feels sticky at night.
5
Ray tell your wife she’s doing a great job and not too be embarrassed. We like seeing the family on camera at least I do.
5
Merry Christmas to you and your family Ray. Thanks for the great content this year.
5
That’s what I was thinking
4
Drive my cars until parts become old and cheap so when car dose need a part I can install it for cheap and keep going. It’s the sweet spot between new and really old cause classic cars parts are insanely overpriced
4
I see people race semis and try to get in front of them as everyone is braking. One day someone’s going to get rear ended
4
Just cross thread every lug it’ll never come off again
4
@MonkeyJedi99 that’s true but that’s why I said people need to educate themselves on today’s vehicles
