  1. I remember when l was a child my grandmother used Aladden lamp's in her house....Because her house did not have electric anything and not wired for it...l used to love to go to her house.....That was back in the 1940's...l am in my 80's now....Later my dad wired her house for electric....!

  2.  @Sparky-ww5re  Yes the two story l live in now was built in 1886....l am still using that style of wiring today...But the house ha had some up grades of course to it....But the wiring is still the same lol thanks my friend from Kentucky...!
