  17. Jean Valles, if you’re not seeing what communism is doing to China with their ineptitude that caused the coronavirus pandemic, you have to be totally blind. So to compare democracy (even with its imperfections) to communism shows you know very little about both. Yes, I understand Duterte is doing a lot of good things internally but, it doesn’t mean he’s doing everything right. His dislike for America may be costing the Philippines many American factories now transferring from China to the rest of Southeast Asia and India. These are high paying jobs in the hundreds of thousands of jobs for Filipinos. So instead of having a GDP yearly growth of 6.4% +/- the Philippines could be at 7%-10% yearly growth. Let’s face it, Duterte is still fighting the Muslim Insurrection War of the early 20th century against the Americans and, with this anger issue, he is not fit to be Philippine president at a time when Philippine-American Alliance is so important for the economic and security point of view.

I was baptized by an American jesuits as old photos show and in their province of their mission before the Filipino bishop fired them and had them replaced by Spaniard missionaries (Claritians). I transferred to their famous DOMINICAN university in Sampaloc and didn’t know then I was doing me a favor (actually, my dad’s decision). It was at the time when liberation theology was taking place led by them- Jesuits. Thank God the Dominicans stayed true to their Catholic ethos and had continued the way of St. Dominic. It is unfortunate that Fr. Arupe’s (their General then) now produces lackadaisical Catholics like you, while being proud to be their product. You can’t even recognize a fellow Jesuit graduate from their real traditional school. You people need to re-catechize yourselves because tradition Catholicism is back (thanks to the Dominicans, Franciscans and other friar orders). You are now the dinosuars. So kick-off your new studies in theology, how about finding the verse where it says - “You are lukewarm and I will spit you out….” Quickly, book, chapter and verse! It should be easy to query because I gave you the route words.

Malachi Martin S.J. wrote about things that went on. I urge you to query his speeches and interviews on YT. The contemporary Fr. Caluag who says mass on TV is one of them as well and claims he was a former Jesuit and principal of their local school.

These type of people would have joined the Huk movement in the 1950’s or the contemporary NPA but, nowadays they know enough not to join those kind of organizations when we all know they offer no real solutions. They have become indecisive, impractical and clueless in geopolitics. This indecisiveness have made this presidential administration in flux, in a total misdirection and, they have consciously or unconsciously led the rest of its citizenships to forget the Chinese conquest of their western EEZ. The issue had been taken off the table, out of mind and out of sight and have become a non-issue (exactly how the Chinese want it to be).
