Chinese carriers don’t even have fighter/bomber jets. Their Flying Sharks just flop like fishes out of water and should be called just that instead- Flopping Fishes. They are assuming that development will be completed by the time 003 will be ready to patrol in 2024. The Russians have been operating one carrier for decades but, I don’t think they even mastered it or its fighters/bombers. That’s why it remained as a sole carrier. It’s in disrepair right now and in need of expensive maintenance. They may have decided to just chuck it considering its quality has very little military value in a war. That’s how I see China’s carriers will become in the long run.

@1977Yakko , firstly, they have a huge knowledge gap on how to build naval aircrafts. If they even perfect one, they’ll be lucky to produce a capability of an equivalent of the old Vietnam era Skyhawks. Secondly, they can never win against the US and their allies in a military conflict and, they know it.
