  1. East Asians sat and slept on floors and ate with tables with a 1-1/2 foot legs. That's why they took their shoes and slippers off when in their houses decades ago. Now that they have adopted to sleeping on beds, sitting on chairs and eating at higher tables, there's no more point in taking your shoes off when in a house. Floors get mopped often enough. Not unless your streets are really putrid.

  30. China’s grand 100th year celebration is a cover for their great failed communist government which follows a long list of failed communist governments. Only the unsuspecting, angry ignoramus would resort to communism and, Mao did just that. In the Philippines back in the 1950’s, the communist Huk rebel movement didn’t go far and was destroyed by the Philippine Army and Philippine Constabulary. Since then, the communist NPA movement (financed by China) had only gained and lost the unsuspecting folks in the very few fringed provinces. Many of their members would just desert or surrender in groups. A Mao leader would never be popular among well-informed and educated Philippine society unlike the backward-thinking Chinese.

  34. China doesn’t care what information we have on their atrocities. They will simply continue their denial however incredulous they sound. They expect us to continue to ignore them if we are to continue business as usual with them who are supposedly being the factory of the world. In fact, they are willing to widen their suppressions of different area of their minority people (eg. Tibet, Inner Mongolia) in order to pressure us to give up our complaints.

Disagreeing with human rights is disagreeing with God, not the US. China is not excused from it just because you are atheists. You still have human consciences and we still hold you accountable for cruelty to others. That’s why you should not feel at ease just because you think you’re free to run a country anyway you want. Charging tariffs on China’s exports is just the beginning. There will be more penalty, then more, then more until you fall and be taken to justice.
