  1. Soon, Tesla will own the tire companies as well or make one up with tires that do not need replacement up to 1,000,000 miles. There have been a lot of new inventions (supposedly), but nothing for the consumers.

  2.  @EZ2NVDon  , do we need their synthetic rubber? Maybe not! There is graphite and newer materials. Elon has the best tech research to develop manufacturing them en masse.
