If we were China, buying Greenland would not be in the cards. They’d just take it and claim it was theirs since ancient times and, that’s assuming the USSR had not taken it years ago. Those Danish spinning Trump’s now refusal to visit don’t know they’d be either speaking Russian or Chinese by now. They should be happy the US ask to buy rather than just take.
