@matiastolmo8936 , there were only one type of Christian during the ancient times of the coliseum pains and they were Catholic Christians despite their differences in ethnicities. The first major heresy was Arianism which was early 4th century AD and were the same people who eventually embraced Islam. Those who died in the coliseum were on the first century AD. You don’t know what you’re talking about.

The Greek Church thought they were in the greater side of the empire while the Latin Church was in a demolished state just after its first millennium. The Greek Orthodox in their arrogance thought the Latin Church could not be Church Christ founded because they, the Greeks were more ordered and more affluent. Little did they know they were falling in the same way as the rabb is did in their own arrogance, not recognizing the promised Christ. Yes, Christ appeared weak, poor, powerless and they were even able to frame Him for crucifixion as a self-professed king with rebellion in mind. Just as the Latin Church looked weak, disorganized, powerless like Christ when He walked the earth, the Latin Church had way surpassed the Greek Church in its glory. Now we see not one but, splintered Greek Churches without a pope each operating tiny Churches independently without unity. And yes, the Latin Church is currently undergoing another crucible test but like always, it will come out of it in greater glory once again. Perhaps the Catholic Church goes through this cycle as God planned to remind its members often that this is also a penitential Church.

@srfrg9707 , I’m sure it’s more than that because your Churches have difference in Theology than the Catholic Church. Your Church then had to split up because Constantinople was taken over by the Turks. So off they went to different directions without unity and a pope. Ask yourself: did Christ really intend His Church to be divided and without one leader? That in itself should tell you you’re in the wrong Church.

@srfrg9707 , it’s apparent you have misconceptions about the Catholic Church and its theology. That’s probably why your Church had to separate. So you stay on your side of the fence and we will stay on ours. Btw, which Church sends missionaries all over the world to preach the gospel fulfilling Christ’s command? Do you see how far and wide the Catholic Church is now and all under the papacy?

You are too confused and have very little knowledge of Church history. Why don’t we just end our conversation here and, if you’re really interested in the truths of Christ, make a serious effort in actually learning.

@Cyprus_Is_Greek , and how did the Orthodox Church obey Christ’s command to “go out and preach to all nations of the world of the good news (gospel).” It did not. Only the Catholic Church did with its missionaries throughout the world incurring many martyrs in the process. That is why Catholicism is spread out through many nations and is still in the process of growing. Did Christ die only for haft a dozen nations on earth?

@Γιάννης-ι2β , all Catholic Apostles (Bishops) spread the Gospel and their successors from the Catholic Church. But, your Church is in schism with the Catholic Church. Are you saying you were once Catholic? So why be schismatic? And, if you think you are the true Church why didn’t you continue to spread the gospel after the schism?

@matiastolmo8936 , nothing upsets me more than outright lie. Catholic missionaries have been martyred to Christianized the world wayback when they Christianized the Roman and Greek empires many dying in coleseums. Then after Christianizing the Franks, Prussians, Anglo Saxons these other tribes who have formed the mighty Catholic countries, they sent their missionaries to all the continents around the world. After having civilized continents, these Protestant “ministers” come behind centuries later when everything is safe, hugging their bibles, preaching heresies and collecting 10% of their suckered members’ paychecks and business profits. They all preach their different theologies, not wondering if what they’re doing is really God’s work. If they lack the curiosity in their consciences, that’s because all they do is bilk people out of their hard earned work. I got to give it to the Orthodox Churches. At least they don’t go around preaching and bilking people.

@matiastolmo8936 , you are wrong about St. Augustine and the reason you insist the Church being invisible is because it suits the Protestant narrative of having tens of thousands of denominations. Protestantism is a heresy and many of you will go to hell because of its severe errors. So get lost!

@matiastolmo8936 , there are many heretics within the Church but, God will sort things out in the end....particularly who will go to hell. The Church simply teaches God’s truths including the heresies to be avoided. I read St, Augustine’s City of God. I never came across your lie. The Universal Church is also a physical Church (visible). Why? It’s because it has churches, a hierarchy (the clergy) and the laity. The clergy provides services for the liturgy, provides the seven sacraments and preaches. So the Church has to be visible for this reason. This is my last entry. If you want to know more, do your own research. You’re either a person with a messed up view of the Church or you’re just a troll. I gave the benefit of the doubt but, I’m done here.

I already said the Church is in crisis as had been prophesied by Catholic mystics from the last 2 centuries but will return soon to greater glory. Knowledgia, it is obvious that you are anti-Catholic. It is Rome where Peter resides (except for the current anti-Peter, Bergoglio). What the Eastern Church thinks is irrelevant. To think otherwise would make one a heretic. Compared to Rome, the Eastern Church was simply a collection of Dioceses and parishes. That Church simply thought they were superior in those days due to the their affluence and political stability while the Western empire had gone through much turmoil. Of course they couldn’t have foreseen how they were going to be invaded and conquered by the Turks and how they would just eventually become split up into tiny national Churches with very little significance and how the Goth, Germanic, Iberian and Latium nations of the West would transform themselves into powerful, well educated nations under the auspices of Rome. Furthermore, it is St. Jerome’s Latin Vulgate which is the official translation of the Greek bible to Latin. He was an expert in the ancient languages of Greek, Hebrew and Aramaic.

@Cyprus_Is_Greek , the missionaries were not connected to the colonizers in that they reported to their monarchs while the missionaries reported to their archbishop. I don’t know of any country the orthodox Churches converted outside of Eastern Europe. You are lying. The Protestants only do the conversions when the wild natives have converted to Catholicism and when the danger of martyrdom is over. Their aim is spreading their false gospel and collecting 10% of salaries and business profits from their deceived congregation. What does Orthodox Church have anything to do with the other protestant sects? Why claim you’ve spread the gospel through these other Protestants who are into enriching themselves?

@Γιάννης-ι2β , I don’t see any orthodox Churches outside Eastern Europe except those in your Church who continued their religion as immigrants to North America and perhaps a little in South America. I never hear of any missionaries spreading your gospel in Asia, and most of Africa.
