Wow, what a crazy story, especially for someone with such an amazingly successful career beforehand! I guess this just goes to show that pretty much anyone can go berserk under the right circumstances!

@sarahroddey2937 Hmmmmm, I didn't realize the aerospace industry was so stressful! What would you say is most stressful about it?

@Za7a7aZ Well I guess that goes for some of the astronauts as well, doesn't it? (Perhaps they all used toilet paper, but I know that at least for part of their mission, the Apollo 13 astronauts couldn't flush it!)

@sarahroddey2937 That makes lots of sense! I'm sure the fact that it's so competitive also contributes quite a bit! I always wanted to be an astronaut, but I don't think I would have ever had any chance in hell of becoming one!

Sad, but it seems the pioneers of a new frontier have been setting some bad examples! Another case in point is the Biosphere II inhabitants, who ended up cheating on each other.

@MM-pv5tp I understand all too well being cheated on! My first girlfriend talked me into moving into a co-op with her in college and ended up breaking up with me right before I moved in and sleeping with practically every other guy in the house, but I managed to keep my cool! The bottom line is that we all get hurt, but when we are, we need to take the high road and do our best to keep moving forward, which the astronaut lady clearly didn't do!

@birinaL I know the feeling, but I still don't think I'd break the law like this, no matter whom I was involved with! (Perhaps it's me, but I'd rather just hurt myself if this were the case, and in fact, I've already done this a few times!)
