I think the planet/dwarf planet debate concerning Pluto is overblown! I have no problem with reclassifying it as a dwarf planet since it is by far the smallest "planet" in the Solar System and it has a moon of larger relative size than any other planet. I think the main reason most people want it kept as a planet is because we've all been taught since we were kids that it's a planet, but as it turns out, this was a mistake. On the other hand, if people insist that it still be called is a planet, I have no problem with that either. I think the bottom line is that we first need come up with rigorous definitions of a planet and a dwarf planet before deciding how to classify Pluto.
