  3. Hm... I believe tesla invented the alternator, than invented the earth quake machine as it produces isochronous oscilation with no eddy currents. Also his method had an external magnetic field and panckake coils and since the magnet does not make lines of force as thought but vortex motion, the mechanical oscilator achieves steady motion with no back EMF spikes.
