"trains don't scale as good as planes for long distance" Yes they do. See Chinas massive HSR network. Planes need massive infrastructure to use and remove a lot of land that could be developed in better ways. Trains require significantly less space. There are countless videos that show the countless different corridor's in USA for HSR when compared to corridors in other parts of the world. You dont know what you are talking about and are just repeating baseless talking points.
