  1.  @strizldizl3035  "lol claiming the PRC to be democratic is a big clown moment" Why? China has a massive amount of elected officials all over the country. That literally makes it democratic. Just because the head of state is unelected, doesn't mean its not democratic, but if you want to deem it so then we need to talk about democracy in USA. The USA also has completely unelected leaders called the supreme court that can remove any law it likes by deeming it unconstitutional, even if it isn't. Doesn't matter if its law put in by congress or through executive order. So shall we call USA undemocratic, or will you admit that China is democratic?

  2. ​ @David-fi9yu  Yes, China is a democracy. They have a huge amount of elections and a massive amount of elected officials. That's democracy. Just because its not a liberal democracy, doesn't mean its not a democracy.

  3.  @grayman2749  That's not true at all. A democracy can have a single party or no parties at all. A democracy can be a direct democracy with no formal government. Stop thinking liberal democracies are the only form of democracy. They aren't. Democracies come in all different shapes and sizes.

You will never find me defending Chinas form of Imperialism but trying to claim that China is worse than the country that killed off 90-98% of the natives of the land USA controls is a little weird. And do please remember the genocide USA did against Vietnam. China may be bullying them but they have yet to every get to USA's level. And a lot of the CIA coups were secrets when they happened. It wasn't in the open. In fact the CIA was basically a rogue agency since they had to sell drugs on the streets to fund themselves. And what are official channels?

  8.  @David-fi9yu  The Soviets were also a democracy. It, like China, just aren't liberal democracies. A democracy doesn't need to be liberal to be a democracy. And if you want to claim that the USSR and China aren't democracies, are you also willing to admit USA isn't a democracy? USA has the supreme court, which is fully unelected with lifetime appointments and they can throw any law out just by deeming it unconstitutional. That's undemocratic. So since you're going to claim they aren't democracies, why don't you define democracy for me? Then we can go from there.
