Colonization doesn't just mean you are stealing achievements. If you arent able to get past that, you are going to continuously struggle to understand what colonialism is, and the many different ways it exists. But if you must know, a good part of the US constitution is actually highly influenced by the Haudenosaunee confederation. You know them better from their colonizer name of The Iroquois. The European socialist movement was heavily influenced by the Indigenous American response to the European way of life. They found Europeans barbaric for letting people go hungry and live on the streets. Oh and the mining of Jewels is an achievement. Or do you think the Jewels just came out of the ground themselves? And how about all the infrastructure that already existed in the Americas that the Europeans took advantage of after killing of the Indigenous peoples?

Houses and infrastructure. Most carpenters were enslaved people. Yet the colonizers claim they built it all, not the slaves. So here in USA we have colonizers claiming the achievements of the salve class. Obviously the British wouldn't claim they built the Pyramids, no one would believe them because everyone knew the Pyramids existed long before Britain was even a thing. It was just an island with some nomadic people living on it when the pyramids were built

There were roads going all across the country. Buffalo NY is called Buffalo because Buffalo used to live there because the Indigenous people made the environment one the buffalo can live in. The Southwest had thousand of miles of canals, many of which were lined with clay to stop leaking. Then the white man came in, slaughtered the Indigenous people and claimed what the Indigenous people built, that actually they built it.

@xenosayain1506 " you defined conquest. Not colonization." Colonization is conquest. The Europeans colonized the Americas by conquering it from the Indigenous peoples by wholesale slaughtering them. The Europeans came in and killed man, women, and child. They burned entire villages. They nearly extinct the buffalo to destroy the Plains Natives entire way of life. That was all colonization through conquest.

If you develop land so you and others can live on it, and then others come and force you off the land and then they use it, they stole your achievement of making that land livable. "They colonized because they had superior technology to begin with and could project power far away." That's not why they did it. They did it quite literally to pay off debts. I recommend you read "debt" by David Graeber. Superior technology is also irrelevant. They were able to colonize so much land because they were willing to kill man, woman, and child. The European colonialists were some of the most genocidal maniacs to ever exist. "Like the British never claimed they built the pyramids while Egypt was under their rule..." Wow, one example. I guess this disproves that colonizers have never stolen achievements. Lets just ignore the Americas and all the achievements that were stolen there. "Colonizers come from a place of superiority, they have no need to claim the achievements of the culture they see as inferior." The European colonists to the Americas were fully unable to survive in the "new world" without enslaving Afrikaans and Indigenous Americans. Since land was cheap, very few white people were willing to be laborers and would only be one until they could buy land and become the exploiter. Even before USA became a nation, up until the civil war, almost all of our infrastructure was built by slave labor, yet the colonists constantly claim its they who built it, not the slaves. You have no fucking idea what you are talking about.
