They did it because Israel has been doing the same thing for decades now. You don't get to do genocide against people for decades, turn them into radicals in the process, and then ask why those people attacked their oppressors.

It must be emphasized that armed struggle by the Palestinian resistance against the occupier is legal under international law. This is from UN General Assembly resolution 37/43 adopted in 1982. There is no ambiguity about it. Gravely concerned at the continuation of the illegal occupation of Namibia by South Africa and the continued violations of the human rights of the peoples still under colonial and foreign domination and alien subjugation, 1. Calls upon all States to implement fully and faithfully the resolutions of the United Nations regarding the exercise of the right to self-determination and independence by peoples under colonial and foreign domination; 2. Reaffirms the legitimacy of the struggle of peoples for independence, territorial integrity, national unity and liberation from colonial and foreign domination and foreign occupation by all available means, including armed struggle; 3. Reaffirms the inalienable right of the Namibian people, the Palestinian people and all peoples under foreign and colonial domination to self-determination, national independence, territorial integrity, national unity and sovereignty without outside interference.

@dangel9293 Israel needs to stop being a fascist apartheid state. They don't have Gaza closed off for their safety, they have it closed off because they are Nazis and Gaza is the worlds largest concentration camp.

@sm1ofakind "However, you cannot define the murder of innocent civilians as "resistance"." Claiming the "civilians" are innocent is wild. Just about every Israeli is or has been a part of the IDF. That takes away their innocence. And considering the Israelis have been killing innocent Palestinians for decades, its absurd to say those being oppressed cant use the same tactic. IT was fine when Native Americans killed Settler colonialists because the settler colonialists did the same to them and its fine when Palestinian resistance does the same to the people who keep stealing their land and killing them for it. "all while recognizing Israel's right to exist." Why should they have a right to exist as a nation after 75 years of mass atrocities?
