  1. amen brother. ceos think there's absolutely no downside to focusing solely on profit and not caring about users / customers / creators. they just cant see all the ill will they've accumulated over the years, and eventually the bubble is going to burst. they are slowly running their platforms into the ground for short-term profits.

  2. im not gonna watch ads no matter what. if they're not skippable, im just gonna leave. if youtube stopped fucking over creators and users in every way imaginable, then maaayyybe I'd consider paying. but after seeing hundreds of videos of creators explaining how youtube just screwed them over and barely even talked to them, I can't in good conscious give them any money or ad views.
