Comments by "RPDBY" (@RPDBY) on "US sets China $200bn trade deficit cut" video.
so its china's problem that US market prefers more Chinese goods and services than Chinese market wants US goods and services? isn't the inability of American companies to compete with Chinese products the cause main of the deficit?

Mr. Tactical "he Deficit comes from the Chinese government Limiting or out right down banning foreign companies especially American companies from being main competitors to Chinese owned or lead companies, these include industrial, Media, Entertainment ETC." - do you have solid evidence to support this statement as well as your additional remarks? Apple, for example, has more retail store in China than in Canada, UK or Australia (http://www.businessinsider.com/apple-stores-how-many-around-world-chart-2017-2), are you saying Chinese government limits access to small and insignificant companies only?

techknowledge the trade deficit in 2017 was $375 billion (https://www.census.gov/foreign-trade/balance/c5700.html), and was there since 1980 according to the data, per your logic, how can Chinese government subsidize dumping for 30 years and at the constantly growing level? Your argument simply does not hold given the data and economic reasoning, there are other forces responsible for the deficit, and its most likely called capitalism and free market

techknowlege "also does not let foreign companies to enter China without technology transfer" - so apparently even under these conditions (assuming your statement is true) China is competitive enough so that foreign companies still choose to enter China, doesn't this statement then support the notion that china has a huge competitive advantage over US, which explains rather well the trade deficit?

and, as it has already been mentioned, many ignore the WTO and its reciprocity rules (and US has quiet a bit of power in WTO)
