It's fair to criticize NATO, and I don't think the US should be involved, but I also don't believe it's fair for Russia to have a say what happens or does not happen to an independent, sovereign nation, which is what Ukraine is. Regardless of what was said in 1991, Russia has never been invaded or harmed by NATO. Aggression can't be justified. Ukraine wanted to westernize and choose its own course, for better or worse, and Russia has no right to decide that for them. It truly is an abusive ex who can't let go. I hope Ukraine grinds their military into dust. Maybe then, the US can finally be pressured into paring down its insane global military empire down a bit.
