@inteallsviktigt not at all. This has nothing to do with the US. Coffee should not br served hot enough to cause third degree burns.

@giovannip8600 Completely ridiculous response. I have ordered both coffee and tea many times in my life both in the US and in Europe. Not once have I received a beverage that was hot enough to cause third degree burns and not once did I have to wait an hour. This all but proves that you can serve hot beverages at safe temperatures without having to wait an hour. Please stop being this obtuse. I feel like you don't actually know how severe third degree burns are. Maybe google some images of third degree burns and ask yourself whether it's reasonable for coffee to do that.

@simoncolin5939 yeah considering litterally nobody drinks their beverage at temps where it can cause 3rd degree burns so there is no reason to serve it at those temperatures. As for the whole hot is hot bs. Lets go serve ice cream at minus 70 degrees and then go: "oh you're surprised its cold? It says ice!!! Hur dur dur." If this is too much nuance for you to grasp i hope you won't ever reproduce.
