  1. Prolly shouldn't consider a reduction in Cathlotisism as a reduction in christianity considering they pray to Mary not Jesus. (making them Maryites?) The Qua'ran was also written by a government in the 12th century, they had been at war with all the other Islamic nations for >20 years, so they rounded up all the people who followed muhammad, laid seige against them (most were involved at high levels in the wars in various ways) until they gave up any of their writing & any evidence about anything Muhammad said and their interpretations of it. All of them eventually gave up, the government of the era then decided which bits to keep and which not to (kinda like the catholics). This government then followed through on the wars and wiped out pretty much all the others who had different teachings.
