  1. I've had both, where the client messes up and lies, but also where the company messes up and lies (Dell I'm looking at you). The fact Apple never gave a reason it had been tampered with originally is very suspicious. I always used to do what you do, open it front of the customer, and show what the issue is. Given past experience with Apple repairs breaking stuff, and the fact they have yet to show any evidence as well as refused to give the customer the excuse they are now using makes me believe the customer.
