  1. Professional cinema editors don't tend to use Apple as you cannot run some of the gear you require for the top end stuff (proper 10bit monitoring). Although the old firewire stuff was MUCH easier on Mac. You used XP for audio recording? Any reason why you weren't using windows NT/2000?
