Sam answered his questions just fine , considering how dumb they were- the questions themselves betrayed the participants ignorance regarding centuries of philosophy relating to ethics and morality. Morality doesn’t need to be grounded in religion. Whether an ethical framework is objective or subjective depends on how you define and approach those terms. Both religious and secular ethical systems can claim objectivity (or subjectivity)but that claim rests on their foundational assumptions—not on whether they’re religious or not. A religious ethic might feel objective to a believer, but from a philosophical standpoint, it’s no more inherently objective than a well-argued secular framework like utilitarianism or deontology.
