  1. all im hearing is that if you want to get a better life you really have to go out of your way to get it and really think out side the box unlike before where you could follow a much more simple linear path to get it but it is what it is.

  2. what's crazy is that for asians the greatest generation (ww2) or prior didn't even put this kind of pressure on the boomers when they were growing up on what they want to do the bottom line was just make a living if you can feed yourself clothe yourself and pay for yourself that's good enough. but then the boomers went like a 180 like no you must do this that xyz like ... wtf. also just my take why did your parents not look favorably on the United states air force? being a military officer is a prestigious position with good pay, benefits, pension advancement etc. heck in many countries military jobs are revered and looked up to due to its stability and prestige. many famous figures in history were military officers or did a stint in the military. if you made it to flag rank im pretty sure your parents would've bragged about taht a lot my son is a general in the us air force and all that. also smart of you to change to truck driving AI programs will eventually fade out accountants.
