at the end of the day with a group of people that wealthy it's basically misallocation of resources or inefficient use of resources. there are a whole loto f people that could use some of that money for more education, starting businesses, or investments. this could make their lives better.

i don't want to imagine being in his shoes because those are some pretty heavy weights on his shoulders at the time. like missing out on a opportunity of a life time and that eats at you.

One thing is for certain: there is no stopping them; the AI will soon be here. And I, for one, welcome our new AI overlords. I'd like to remind them as a small time TV personality, I can be helpful in rounding up others to toil in their underground AI server farms

well gary wouldn't let it go so it was both of their faults. but if we look at it from a 20/20 hindsight. htey were already comforable. people forget that they were already millionaires at that time or at least well off. any more business would've been seen as a bonus. it was not like bill who needed that contract or his company could've gone under. if gary was as hungry as bill at that time he couldve probably been at his house waiting for this mystery client.

compared to today homer is the textbook example of hte american dream. homer has a wife and 3 kids. a 4 bed 3 bath house, 2 cars, 2 pets, and can afford to put his father in a senior home.

exactly but gary was doing ok for himself. he thought so it's just one more client big deal. i mean this was back in teh 1980s and having your own private plane was a big deal. so gary was a millionaire equivalent for that time. he just wasn't hungry for business.
