  10. i think commute more than 1 hour is just too much. ideally you shouldn't commute more tan 30 minutes one way. the one hour commute is if you're making bank.

  12. in california it's incredibly hard to fire teachers... hence how teachers can literally drink on teh job with little to no recourse.

They have to go to school earlier than students and leave later in the year for paperwork. They also work outside of class for preparing lessons, for setting the curriculum, correcting students' papers (where applicable) and continuous retraining and updating their info. It's definitely way harder than it looks from outside, and that's not including having to deal with all sorts of weirdo kids.

  22. at the most basic level you have to pay for a roof over your head and food. other than that... all other stuff is basically bonuses.

  23. you had to have f'd up badly with your finances not to be able to retire at the 20 year mark. and in most cases you just need to teach minimum of 5 years to qualify for a pension

  33. it's been tried before with bachelors taxes. it didn't stick. no bachelor taxes have been passed if they were passed they were struck down fast for being illegal. you can't really harass men any more than taxes. if you're already shamed by w-men for having small wangs and being midgets and such... nothing else hurts.
