  2. blame the economy of the 1970s. nixon took the us off the gold standard. once china established relations with china this was the perfect exit strategy for us coporation to offshore manufacturing to china... and transition the us to a service based economy. didn't you notice inflation was picking up fast in the 1970s like today. everything was costing more. the one income was no longer enough to cut it and forced the women to work or they lose the house. economics are the cornerstone of how easy or how tough life will get and the US economic distribution for the working/middle class has basically left the working /middle class in the tubes for the last 50 years.
