Well let's put it this way back in the distant past when polygamy or polyamory was out in the open everyone knew the rich powerful guys had their pick of the litter and they had their harems...this was nothing new..those that hold the gold make the rules... basically men back in those days knew women were getting diced down....so for a while now we've been operating under a mirage and smokescreen.... Now filtering it down to the poor people...from my understanding is many poor men were basically frozen out of the mating game entirely hence why we have 2x the female ancestors and at human worst moments one man mated for every 17 females and Genghis Khan has like millions of living descendants
