If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be appointed to you. but let's get real the public defenders they appoint to you are rubbish anyways. but it's better than nothing. if you can get your own attorney please do so. many attorneys would love to take the case to make aname for themselves and suing the government they can get huge payouts. it's getting os bad even the police/LEOs won't read you the miranda rights anymore because apparently they have a loophole around that too such as If the police believe that there is an immediate threat to public safety, they may be able to question a suspect without first informing them of their Miranda rights. can you believe that.
