streaming is still in its infancy and eventually will mature. i just think we're getting to a point where there's no clean break anymore. like are any of you folks yearning for record players or phonographs? im just saying like good lord folks what's come is gone and it's a cycle.

that's the one thing i never quite understood about people in general is what is this obsession with youth. i mean the understanding is you got to experirence it and it's time to move on but for some reason a lot of folks jsut can't or don't want to move on

or any physical media for that matter. i would say im avoiding all physical media because it will degrade over time and the readers will also degrade.

the reason why nostaslgia is so crazy these days is because of the internet allowing people to actually see stuff from their childhood again. older gens didn't have this and good that they didn't because it just seems like getting stuck in the past.

i mean this nostaslgia thing is really insane with millennials. i get nostalgia is part of the human condition but millennials take it to a whole new level.

the issue i see here is that people don't quite grasp that the technology is a process. meaning vhs were what they could do back in teh 1980s for home entertainment. then they developed something better called dvds (or vcds) in the 1990s/2000s and it transitioned to that. then they later on had HD dvds or blu rays but it's the same sh-t as dvds just higher res. in the late 2000s /2010s and now we've reached streaming. point is that the technology is replaced with something better supposedly for more convenience and better resolution. so i never quite got the push back for the new stuff like this streaming stuff is being pushed back against ... like everything culminated to this point. and in the future there will be something else.
