In the past eras there was a chance of foreign invaders toppling your country /government and you as the subject of that fallen country/government had at least some miniscule "chance' of a fresh clean slate rule (new system) (obviously us seeing this from 20/20 hindsight) know it is never better than the last rulers but hey at least hteer was a "chance" lol but now. there's not even that to refresh the system.

  6. you're ahead of the curve. right now you got people still thinking chat gpt types that's the best we can do... without thinking technology improves at a rate biology can't keep up with and with the doubling effect (which is already yesterdays news) it's only a matter of time that the AI systems of the future get so sophisticated they will achieve sentience. and when that happens well we can say we're in trouble.
