@yoshi314 my theory is you don't know if you will keep or maintain that level of income. so better not rush anything. because money comes and goes even faster.

academic smarts and life skills are two different things.

when the battery goes.. the whole car is pretty much total loss as electric vehicles depreciate as fast as normal cars and hte battery cost a lot to replace.

for example in california they will not allow you to buy any more gas combustion cars post 2035. so if you are living in cali and other dem states people are basically just buying evs well in advance because well they see oh wow they're banning gas cars... might as well get a ev now. not knowing you can buy in a nearby state and just drive it back. also i don't see gasoline stations infrastructure getting reduced down any time soon. you are not going to convince any gas station owners to conver to recharging stations on their expense. it cost a lot of money to conver to r build charging stations and from what i see.... government isn't paying any subsidies for that if so it's still not such a attractive deal that's causing gas station owners to jump on that oportunity.

first thing you do when you make money is to not upgrade anything. carry on as business as usual.

@angrydragon4574 no you would need to live on 100k a year to be considered a upper middle class lifestyle.
1
@l2xsniper1 like people said...show us the dining out receipts, shoes bags etc
1
if i made $350k after taxes you would still keep around $210,000.00 if i spent only say $30k a year i would keep $180k a year if i just saved and nothing else I could retire a millionaire in just 10 years... but if you factor in all the standard life things that get in the way i could still retire in 20 years. still got no sympathy for folks that luck into big money and blow it all.

in the past keeping up wih the joneses was really just keeping up wiht your friends in your economic circles. it just meant a new appliance once in a while or some new gadgets here and there... for people back in those days making middle income it was doable. but now with social media and people keeping up with he kardashsians and not really the joneses.
