  8. the only reason college was so popular in the bygone era was because 1.) veterans using their GI bills to pay for it 2.) colleges were no where near as expensive as it is today 3.) if you went to college for a actual useful trade (engineering, medicine, law, etc) you were bound to find a decent paying job in that field... so there you go. you take away just one of the incentives. it just falls apart.

  12. most men tha went into the military were asked why did htey go in the first place. GI bill. free college, free medical. not many said to defend america. it's a job. government job. no different than being a fire fighter or a police officer.

  19. rich kids go to rich colleges. graduating from harvard, yale, ivy league schools is way different than graduating from university of north carolina.

  21. if back in teh 1960s-1970s if college costed as much as it did today men back then would've bailed out too. 3 components that was the golden age of college enrollment 1.) gi bill 2.) low cost tuition 3.) good ROI meaning your degree can be paid off in 1-2 years tops.
