  2. natural selection is what provides genetic fitness so right now natural selection is not working because we have meddled in it and for some time too medicine is the counter thesis to natural selection.

  4.  @jrconway3  no it's not that people in the past didn't live as long they just didn't live as long on average. You take away a lot of the vaccines and antibiotic we have now we would be dropping like flies too just due to influenza
