in the last story teh father wanted to see the kid and have joint custody etc but the mother didn't allow for it and also spread some pretty bad lies to the grandparents of how bad he is etc all that so they believe her and didn't consider the father wasn't bad and wanted to step up but was legally prevented in doing so
