actually alimony is gender neutral. it's just that since men worked jobs and made more money in the relationships when it ends they tend ot have to pay since well they made more money. there are more and more women now that made more money in the marriage while the husband downgraded in pay, she left and only to find that she owes him alimony because she made more than him they call it manimony now. now there's a reason why women size you up and ask indirectly how much you make because they are not going to pay you alimony. but then again since they are getting the same degrees same jobs same everything as a man i don't see how they would make any less money than a man considering we've had same work same pay act since 1962...
