  1. i wonder if both ships are under standing orders not to engage any opposing ships or is it captains discretion? also isn't there some kind of bottom line where ships are free to engage if within a certain range? i mean chinese ships aren't exactly allied friendly ships... aren't they supposed to be enemy combatant forces?
