i can safely say that in the past tyrannical governments that want to subjugate their populations were at the very least... just no hiding it open and flat out chain you. is it equally bad. yes. but they're at least direct forward and cutout the bs. now they're causing mass psychosis. instead of being direct and forward and just kill you quickly and mercifully they are slowly killing you and driving you insane at the same time.
