  1. to be fair the amphibious landing crafts weren't supposed to deliver troops or material to the beach head until the beaches have been cleared... ok so the D-Day landings, Iwo jima, peleliu for example were not really textbook amphibious landings. these airlifting campaigns are gonna be pricey. anything that's air related is gonna cost a lot more than boat related.
