  1. eating out has always been reserved for the well off. you enjoyed a period of time with the assembly line method of food prep and creating food in bulk (ie the mcdonalds method) that you saw eating out as a affordable option until around 2012 and then it went back to how it used to be where it's reserved for a special occassion and not a daily occurrence.
