  3. just to give you guys a comparison ( i know time, tech , circumstances etc but still interesting nonetheless) when the soviets invaded germany they sent in 5 million soldiers just to give you the scope of forces needed to take berlin itself Close to one million Soviet soldiers and more than 20,000 tanks and artillery pieces against a force of 100,000 German soldiers and 1,200 tanks and guns. the soviets lost 2000 tanks (10 percent) 81,116 killed/missing and 280,251 wounded just taking one city..... so imagine that just to take one city where the inhabiants fought to the bitter end you have 28 plus percent wounded rate and you have 8.1% deaths. russia ukraine war of 2022 russia forces at least initially reported 190,000 thousands of combat vehicles, which include an estimated 2,840 battle tanks, i get it if you exclude air power etc russia went in with a very underwhelming low amount of forces. i mean against a country with 196,600 active military personnel. This splits into 125,600 ground troops, 35,000 air personnel and 15,000 naval troops. like bruh really? against a city you're barely even able to cut it but against a whole country... no...just no

  4. Every soldier in history has known that the defense is inherently stronger than the attack. As a general rule of thumb, attacking forces have to be at least three times stronger than defending forces. In many cases they should be even stronger, especially at the decisive point. so this basic thing that the russians forgot about... like bruh.... smh
