I think you're right about the resource depletion and they earth is at max carrying capacity.

But at the minimum you need to make at least 3x-4x minimum wage to have a traditional middle class existence

this has been said too many tims but cost of living is going up but income rates are not going up as fast. so we're operating on deficits all the time.
1
@beesteezy3626 im not talking about people that are still consuming beyond their means but there are legitimate concerns about the inflation is casuing goods and services to go up so fast that no amount of budgeting and savings could offset it short of having large windfalls

True if economics are taken out of the equation the only way for that or occur would be for humans to revert back to hunter gatherer society

I have a wonder why would people air their thoughts on the internet when they are not well versed on the topic and that they will be roasted by reviewers like Jack

I was thinking if robots and ai are going to be mass produced then why would they care about birth rated and all that wouldn't we humans be redundant?

unfortunately unless the US has an industrial base that can produce low end and middle tier products... we're pretty much stuck between a rock nad a hard place.

These days no one is buying their kids traditional toys it's all electronics now like tablets phones vr computers etc. those are definitely going to be more useful and entertaining
1
basically the morale of the story is you should be able to support and pay for the kids and provide the kids at least a reasonable standard of living and safety without having to be a financial burden on the state.
1
in the past having kids was a retirement plan for people. there was no government social safety net in teh past and poor people pretty much even if they're having kids pay for their kids or with help from friends/relatives family etc but it was a self contained thing. also people were used to a lower standard of living. in addition under agrarian societies having kids will help make you money with their labor. so up until the industrialization era having kids made sense. also with lower life expectancies and higher mortality rates having kids also made sense. so basically in the past everything kind of worked in tandem to make having kids a no brianer and made sense. but up until industrialization and urbanization the reasons to have kids started to make less and less sense. that's history lesson for today. reality is if people 2000 years ago had our standard of living and life expectancies today... the birth rates would've have cratered long ago. if you look at hte chart of fertility rates in the last 50 years alone.. it's been trending down
