  1. folks fdic only has 128 billion on reserve right now. the total deposits in america is 19.50 or was 19.50 trillion just before SVB failure. fdic couldn't even cover SVB alone much less the rest of the depositors in america. ok let's say FDIC said we'll pay you no worries. they are obligated to pay you back... within 99 years. so for anyone that's under 2 yearas old right now... chances of you getting paid back within your lifetime is slim. keep in mind mortality is going down now it's not going up. before people say but but but sure the fed can print all the money tehy want to cover all your deposits... but let's say your money wouldn't be worth teh paper it was printed on anyways.
