  1. people i can not stress this enough your housing expenses should not exceed 35% of your take home pay. not gross pay. if you factor in gross pay it would take up around 1/2 your take home pay/income. your house should not exceed 3-4x your ananual income. these rules of thumbs exist for a reason otherwise you will end up house poor.
