  8. from what i can see is you have a lot of people (let's face it men are struggling more in this 21st century economy than ever before) that can't even make the basic american dream come true. the basic american dream in the past well lets just say post WW2 and before they year 2000 1.) finish school 2.) get a car 3.) get a job (or income or successful business) 4.) have a family 5.) have a house this was the essence of the american dream or any middle class dream in any developed country (minus the car part if the country has a good public transit system) well as we can see as of 2023 there are people making say ordinary jill and jane money and either can't finish school without going into debt get a affordable car get a job that pays well enough people having harder times finding people to marry or buying a house that won't break the bank i mean munger has a point people will always be jealous but come on if people can't even get the basics... when the powers to be keep saying you need these 5 things to be happy of course it's addding he fuel to the fire when people can't get them regardless.
